About the treatment

What is skin needling?

Skin needling uses a sterile device with very fine needles to create tiny, controlled channels in the surface of the skin. The skin responds with its natural repair process, which is why the treatment is also known as collagen induction therapy.

It is commonly chosen to support the appearance of skin texture, fine lines, enlarged pores and some types of acne scarring. A course of sessions spaced several weeks apart is often recommended, and Debbie will tailor the plan to your skin.

Skin needling is available at both of our clinics in Rhodes and Castle Hill.

Questions

Skin Needling questions

Does skin needling hurt?

Most clients describe a scratching or vibrating sensation. A topical numbing cream is usually applied first to keep you comfortable.

How many sessions will I need?

It depends on your skin and goals. A course of sessions spaced several weeks apart is common, and Debbie will recommend a plan at your consultation.

When can I go back to work?

Many people return to normal activities the next day, though your skin may look pink for one to three days.

Can skin needling be combined with other treatments?

Sometimes. Debbie will advise whether facials or peels can be scheduled safely around your needling sessions.
